Today's song comes from an artist who was signed to arguable one of the greatest hip-hop record labels of all time. This artist was on the front line of almost all of the "beefs" that came towards this record labels way and held his own bar for bar. This artist is from Philadelphia, PA and his name is Beanie Sigel.
Beanie Mac the man that went bar for bar with Jadakiss and won in my opinion, yea that guy.
Beans step on the scene in 1999-2000 ish when he released his first single "The Truth" which was featured on his first solo album also titled "The Truth." We all loved Sigel for his raw but honest raps, he gave you lyrics along with the harsh reality of living the street life. Not only did he have the lyrical talent but he also had Jay-Z cosigning him at the time and the most influential record label backing him.
Today's song is featured on Beanie Sigel's second album which is titled "The Reason." I usually pick songs that normally have videos but this one is different. Like I stated above this is that save every penny you get, champion hoodie under your leather coat music.
