If an artist isn't placed in mainstream america and isn't getting heavy rotation on the radio, the genreal public doesn't care. When in reality the artists that do not have the machine behind them are some of the dopest artist.

For about 3-4 weeks nothing but dope music has been playing in my Itunes thanks to one artist, an artist majority of hip-hop fans do not listen to. An artist I recently became a fan of last summer but the music is most definitely good and comes from a real place. That artist is Nipsey Hussle.

Nipsey has been blessing these streets with great music as of late and no one seems to notice. If his mixtape "The Marathon 3: Victory Lap" is consistent with the music he just released, Nipsey will have the mixtape of the year.

Nipsey promised that he'll release a new song with every 2k followers he gets via twitter. So far he has kept his word and has released a total of 3 songs thus far. The mixtape is set to release mid summer but until then I'll continue to check his follower count and look out for new music.
