Today's song and video comes from an artist that at one point was signed to one of the most influential record labels in the 90's and early 2000's. A record label with several platinum selling album and countless of number one singles. The record label is So So Def Records. Jermaine Dupri at one point in his career ran the world of hip-hop, having artist such as Kris Kross, Jagged Edge, J-Kwon, Dem Franchise Boyz, and his most profitable investment Bow Wow.
You can sit back and try to down play what JD has done for hip-hop but his track record shows that he has made his mark. Producing hit records such as "Jump", "Tipsy", "White T", and pretty much every early Bow Wow record. Not convinced JD was the man in the 90's and early 2000's? Ok, but just about every black wedding plays "Let's Get Married" by Jagged Edge which was produced by JD.
So to pay homage to JD and the early years of his career, here's your Throwback Thursday
