As some of you know Meek Mill and Cassidy are going through a disagreement and both released diss tracks towards each other. It dates back to when Meek stated he wanted to jump back into battle rap after seeing a few battles from Summer Madness 2. He put out a tweet and Cassidy responded accepting the challenge, a few weeks after Meek retracted his statement saying he wanted Murda Mook and Cassidy to battle. To make a long story short Meek and Cass started going back and forth via Twitter up until last week Cassidy released a song titled "Me, Myself, and Iphone" where he mentions Meek's name in the last verse and how Meek looked up to him. While just last night Meek released a track titled "Repo Man" where he talks about Cassidy having money issues and how he doesn't come back to Philly.
Now if you know me you know I love when rappers have disagreements on things because he gets them back in rap mode and sharpens their skills. Meek took the "beef" to another level last night via IG by posting a few pics of Cassidy's funeral implying his song killed him. I thought it was funny and also entertaining, and it also reminded me of a beef from a few years ago. Before there was IG, and Twitter maybe FaceBook was jumping just for college students but I believe this was the MySpace era, but this is when you had a problem you said it on stage for everyone to hear. Remember when HOV put Prodigy on the Summer Jam screen, this was somewhat like it.
The T.I and Lil Flip "beef" was entertaining and when TIP went on stage to show off the pic he had of Lil Flip that was classic. Not only did TIP go on stage and display the picture he did it while Lil Flip was in the building at ATL's Birthday Bash. T.I went as far as recording the convo he had with Scarface who claims he never seen Lil Flip in the hood ever!
So with all the hip-hop beef and the embarrassment of displaying and showcasing photo's here's today's Throwback Thursday
