Throwback Thursday

First I'd like to say thanks to everyone who reads our blogs week in and week out, we at First Class Blogs really appreciate the love. We recently hit 15K total views on all blogs and that's a pretty dope number knowing we started Jan 1st of this year. People are reading and paying attention to what we have to say, either it's comedy, music, or something to debate over people are reading. And knowing the black community doesn't read as much this means something, so thanks again!!

Back to the situation at hand, today is Thursday niggas and niggettes so that means we're going to take you back down memory lane with an old school song/video. Now, I'm going to keep it all the way 100 with you on this one. If you were born in the 80's (89 doesn't count as the 80's yall niggas are 90's babies) and do not know this song you can no longer claim you're an 80's baby. Your 80's babies membership has been revoked and now you must claim the 90's, don't blame me I didn't make the rules.

Today's Throwback song and video is Kris Kross "Jump"

Kris Kross was the shit back in the day, you can't front on these young niggas. Kris Kross was the first concert I've ever been to and yes, a real nigga such as myself wore his clothes backwards. Yup, I did and I'm not ashamed to say. I had my clothes on backwards with a fresh high top fade. Anyway, these young niggas were signed to So So Def and their first album "Totally Krossed Out" was the number one album in the country and went 4X Platinum. Yea talk that Kris Kross was wack shit now! They went 4X Platinum in the US and 3X Platinum in Canada, these niggas was moving units. 

Let's discuss this song/video:

The video starts off with the two standing with their backs to us with a Yankee and Knicks jerseys on. Why they didn't wear jerseys from their hometown Atlanta, I don't know but it would have made sense. Following that is a small intro and then the famous hook "Jump." Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly has the first verse where he talked his shit and explained that they wear their clothes backwards and not inside out because that's "wiggity, wiggity, wiggity, wack." After his verse comes the hook again and then the verse from Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith. He also talked his shit and told yall "he loves when a girl is straight jockin." 

Like the last Throwback Thursday with ABC (Another Bad Creation) notice the fashion in the video. They were wearing the baggy clothes but notice the snap backs, once again this is proof that the late 80's early 90's is trying to make a comeback with the fashion. Snap backs came back I'm waiting for jerseys to make their comeback LOL. I'm not going to spoil the video for yall because some of you probably never seen it and some don't remember, so enjoy your Throwback Thursday song!
