Throwback Thursday

Today is Thursday, which means  8 more hours of you talking shit on your boss in your head, the NCAA bracket begins, and a dope blog from @Rell_Mac.
Now over the past few weeks I’ve been getting hate mentions from one of my friends/followers and he’s been criticizing the dopeness I give you niggas week in and week out. He’s basically been saying majority of the music blogs I've been writing only focus on East Coast rap. I can't front I’ll admit, I love East Coast 90’s music that’s really no secret. What real nigga doesn’t? So for me to shut this lightskin nigga up and to make sure he stays out my real life and my Twitter mentions I plan to bless yall with a down South Throwback Thursday.
Shoutout to my nigga tho, and I do greatly appreciate all feedback. I criticize music so I’m not mad when people criticize my blogs, that’s the only way I’ll get better at this. SO SEND YOUR FEEDBACK!!
Now, today’s Throwback features a group of negros that are a prime example of the saying “We shoulda never gave you niggas money.”  This group of African American men are the reason young black men jumped off the porch and said “Fuck school, I'm grabbin a pack.” LMAO On a serious note tho, this group showed the world especially the black communities that you can honestly come from nothing and turn it into something. That group is The Hot Boys.

The Hot Boys made every nigga go buy and wear white t’s, Reebok Classics, and Girbaud jeans. I’m mean these are the niggas that came up with “Bling Bling”, how do you not like the Hot Boys. Now in my city which is Pittsburgh, PA there was a 18 and under nightclub “Jetz” and believe you me when the Hot Boys came on hoes lost their minds. That’s when we were blind and ignorant to the fact that if she danced in the club with no shoes she’s a hoe, but at the age of 13-14 niggas didn’t know any better. Another place in my city that is legendary to my generation is The Admore Skating Rink. The “After Hours Freaknik” was primetime grab a hoe and dance all night till ya mom comes to pick you up swag. Overall, the Hot Boys were a classic group in down South rap and rap in general.
Let’s talk about this song and video "I Need A Hot Girl"
The song/video starts off with Mannie Fresh the producer giving the world his struggle bars, but we still got love for Mannie.  Mannie provided comedy in majority of his bars so it’s nothing but love for him. The setting of one scene of the video is the “Hot Boys” car wash where I’m sure they offered $50 worth of food stamps for them N.O brawds to be in the video. I ain’t mad at that, get it how you live! During the Mannie Fresh part of the video you can clearly see “Mr. I’m a Blood 4 Life” Lil Wayne wearing a Blue Crip rag. (34 seconds into the video) And that’s with whom you niggas place ya faith, oh aite!
Following the Mannie verse is the hook and the Baby aka Birdman verse. It’s a Birdman verse do I really need to speak on this?
After the Birdman verse is my nigga the B.G, durag with the cape out and all. B.G has the best verse of the song in my opinion. “I’ll take her any day before a classy bitch” how do you not appreciate this man’s honesty? He basically was speaking from his previous experiences with bottom basic bitches in his verse, you gotta love it. Lastly following the verse from B.G is the hook and next, Lil Wayne and Turk. *Notice the Blue Crip rag being worn by Little Wayne* Moving. Right. Along. Turk has the best and the line you remember the most in the whole song “I need a project bitch, a hoodrat bitch, one that don’t give a fuck and say she took that dick.” Wayne and Turk had a 4 bar back and forth between the two, overall the verse is very dope and Wayne did his thing the last four bars of the song.
In conclusion, this is a good classic song from the Hot Boys and it seems like they had mad fun shooting this video, nice cars, riding around the hood, and putting on for their city. Enjoy your Throwback Thursday from Cash Money’s own The Hot Boys.
