Today's Throwback Thursday song comes from a female r&b artist that was damn near singing on everyone's hook at the time. This female artist had a falling out with Murda Inc's Ja Rule and Irv Gotti over compensation on the song "Put It On Me." On this throwback song she hooked up with a new upcoming rapper that owned every Mitchell and Ness jersey with the matching fitted, and he also spelled his name in every 16 he spit. The artists are Lil Mo and F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S and the song is "Super Women."
Let discuss this video:
The video starts off with young John Jackson aka Fabolous Sport aka Loso (in case you aint no so) sitting in a diner and of course he's wearing a jersey. This is the video where Fab made the bandana made out of a napkin famous (or was it Jadakiss in the "Knock Yourself Out" video?) I don't know and I've had this discussion multiple times because both videos came out in 2001. Moving. Right. Along! Following the Fab verse is the hook and the verse by Lil Mo, notice the blue weave. At the beginning of Lil Mo's verse peep the nigga with the white durag with the cape comfortably out chillin with a two way. Now at the time this shit was cool but now that we're looking back at it, that was mad corny. But what do I know, I still wear hoop shorts under my jeans (just a joke by the way). In this video Lil Mo was out here fighting crime in the mean streets of Compton, by stopping purse snatchers n shit. Instead of fighting crime she should have fought the brawd that put that blue weave in her head but once again what do I know? Overall the song and the video are both dope, Lil Mo and Fab both did their thing. I don't want to get into great detail on this video, so sit back take another shot and enjoy your Throwback Thursday song.
